About Coach Wiles

Born in Beloit Wisconsin, Coach Wiles began his hockey journey with a small AA organization the Beloit Blades. Fast forward to high school and the USHL draft, 2 years in Kearney Nebraska with the Tri-City Storm, and accepting his scholarship to play NCAA Division 1 Hockey with the University of Alaska Anchorage in the WCHA (2007-11). After four amazing years and huge developmental strides, his amateur career ended.

After rookie camp with the Washington Capitals, Wiles settled with the Las Vegas Wranglers of the ECHL where he remained for two seasons. After playing in the Kelly Cup finals and finishing top 10  in goal scoring Wiles got his first taste of AHL Hockey. Wiles finished the weekend with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers playing all 3 games, scoring in his first AHL appearance and recording 2 assists in his third. He returned to Las Vegas the following week.

His final years playing in North America were spent split between the AHL and ECHL for teams like the  Lehigh Valley Phantoms, Springfield Falcons, and Hershey Bears (AHL) as well as the Reading Royals (ECHL).

As a finale, Wiles spent a year playing abroad in Denmark in their premier league the Metal Ligaen where he was fortunate enough to win a championship and capture the league's top scorer award.
